Milan / Munich, 29 April 2015 – Today, the 7th WT Wearable Technologies Innovation World Cup officially kicked-off at the WT Wearable Technologies Conference in Milan. Innovative entrepreneurs from around the world are invited to submit their solutions, from April 29th until November 15th 2015 in the categories of “Sports & Fitness,” “Healthcare & Wellness,” “Gaming & Lifestyle,” “Safety and Security,” and the special prizes “Smart Clothing” and “Smart Jewelry.” All participants will compete to win one of the categories and the next “WT Innovator of the Year.”

Wearable technologies is one of the most compelling markets, spreading at a fast pace. Analysts expect this market to become larger than $50 billion in the next three years by revolutionizing the sports and healthcare industries, among others.
