Disrupt Consumer IoT with the Geeny IoT Platform and the Innovation World Cup

An exciting new partnership between Geeny and the Innovation World Cup Series will broaden Geeny’s reach into the global network of IoT startups. Techpreneurs entering the IOT/WT Innovation World Cup 2017/18 will now have the opportunity to take part in the Connected Living Challenge, a special prize for consumer IoT innovations powered by Geeny.

Geeny is an IoT proposition from Telefónica NEXT. As an IoT ecosystem, it connects B2C companies, developers, makers, and smart users. It disrupts IoT space by giving end-users access and control over the data from their connected devices. Rich data and consumer insights combined with cutting-edge technology help companies build IoT products and services that answer tangible customer needs.

Participants of the Innovation World Cup have the chance to win prizes worth more than 500,000 USD, including cash prizes, free development kits, free co-working spaces in Europe and Asia, individual crowdfunding coaching by kickstarter, free marketing services, and have the opportunity to gain the relevant contacts to take their solutions to market successfully. The winner of the Connected Living Challenge powered by Geeny will benefit from:

  • Mentoring and support to work with Chinese manufacturers
  • Project management support for E2E projects
  • Help creating apps on the Geeny platform
  • A project feature in the European Startup section of the Geeny marketplace

Developers from all around the world are invited to submit their solutions to the Innovation World Cup in the categories of Home, City, Lifestyle, Industrial, Transportation, Healthcare and Retail. Registrations closed on 18 November 2017.
