We are excited to announce that the LoRa Alliance has chosen to join the 2017 IoT/M2M Innovation World Cup. The LoRa Alliance is a leading technology alliance for the Internet of Things (IoT) and low-power wide area networks (LPWAN). To welcome our new partner and to give all contestants the chance to consider how their existing solutions might be optimised with the use of LoRa Alliance Technology, we will extend our submission deadline to 15 December 2016. Solutions in the categories Industrial, Smart City, Automotive, Transport & Logistics & Surveillance, Industrial, Smart Building & Home Automation can be submitted here: www.innovationworldcup.com/iot-m2m

Please add to your description if and when your solution will be ready for LoRa WAN technology or NB IoT solutions. We are looking forward to seeing you on stage at the Mobile World Congress on March 1st in Barcelona, hosted by our Spanish partner ACCIO.

We also encourage our participants to enter the current LoRa Alliance Challenge, which is focused on creating a safer and smarter sustainable world with four solution submission categories: food, water, health and safety. Submissions to this competition can be made until January 2nd, 2017.  “Technology can play a critical role in improving the lives of the most marginalized communities in the developing world,” said Safia Verjee, program manager in Disaster Risk Management at the Kenya Red Cross. “LoRaWAN can meet the price points and requirements to scale solutions easily.”
